RPM partners play a key role in upcoming FIA Motorsport Games

The FIA has recently announced the upcoming FIA Motorsport Games that will be held in Vallelunga (Rome) from October 31st through November 1st 2019. The Games represent a ground breaking event developed from the successful roots of last year’s FIA Nations Cup. The Motorsport Games are set to evolve in 2020 and 2021 to include also other 2 wheels, 4 wheels and even boating disciplines.

The official FIA press release points out that “The FIA Motorsport Games will be held across six different motor sport disciplines, with established categories such as GT, Touring Cars and Formula 4 featuring alongside the emerging competitions of drifting, digital motorsport and karting slalom, which are rapidly gaining in prominence.”

Regarding the Formula 4 competition, the FIA has appointed KC Motorgroup Ltd. to supply the cars suited specifically for the purpose of the Games. On July 25th The Hong Kong based company presented at Spa Francorchamps the new Formula 4 car featuring, for the first time in the category, a hybrid power-unit and halo safety device.

KC Motorgroup Ltd. has appointed Ycom (partner to RPM) to design, build and test the innovative Formula 4. Ycom has involved other RPM partners in the project: Autotecnica Motori (power-unit), Tatuus (halo safety device) and Gieffe Racing (various technical components).

From a technical and organizational point of view the participation of RPM partners in the Motorsport Games illustrates the spirit of synergy and innovation that drives the RPM network to boost internationally recognized Italian motorsport excellence within Italian Small and Medium Size Enterprises (SMEs).
